Sarracenia flava var. maxima 'DIVERSIFLORA GREEN'

Sarracenia flava var. maxima DIVERSIFLORA GREEN is a striking plant. The pitchers are all green, yellowish green on the operculum, without any trace of red or venation. But it is not an antho free plant! There is red at the base of the leaves. Flowers are yellow as is typical of the species.

Sarracenia flava is distributed from southern Alabama, through Florida and Georgia, to the coastal plains of southern Virginia, North and South Carolina. The species has 7 varieties, based on presence and distribution of red colour. Some are more common in some areas, but in general ranges of all varieties overlap.

Sarracenia flava var. maxima DIVERSIFLORA GREEN is one of our first seedgrown sarracenias.

We offer medium sized, plants one growing point each, capable of flowering.
