Salvia verticillata occurs in nature from Central Europe to Western Asia. It is really a beautiful and low maintenance wildflower. It prefers dry locations, if possible among rocks. A perennial that doesn't let itself be overgrown - is it even possible? I have too admit, this is my favorite Salvia, because it grows so neatly and is so tough.
