Pinguicula gracilis
Pinguicula gracilis is native to the state of Nuevo León, on the northern slope of Sierra de las Mitras, where itoccurs from 1000m to 1800 m abovesea level. It was first collected in 1980 and then formally described in 1988 by Sergio Zamudio.
This species grows succulent leaves in winter and carnivorous leaves in summer.
Be very gentle when handling this plant. As the name suggests, it is very brittle and can fall apart when handling.
The adult plant is TINY. It flowers in winter with this one white flower, that is small compared to other Mexican Ping flowers, but looks HUGE for the size of the plant.
Currently we offer only S size plants, 1 plant per pot.
