Welcome to Diversiflora

We are a carnivorous plant nursery based in Slovenia, Europe. We propagate all the plants by ourselves and grow them without the use of chemichals. We grow plants oldshool, by cuttings, divisions and seed if possible. This makes our plants particulary hardy. 

Our webshop Diversiflora is a small, but integral part of what we do. However our main organisation is called Društvo Raznolikost (Diversity Association). We focus on providing contact with nature to marginalised groups and providing education about nature in nature to schoolchildren. We also keep a mini Zoo of farm animals. Since we are a non-profit organisation, the proceeds from sales of our products go into funding our work, providing food and veterinary care for our animals and maintenance of the premises. We also donate as much as we can to charities that rescue animals or help people in need. We finance our work almost entireley from the income of our sales. Your business is what makes it possible for us to coninue doing what we do. Thank you for your support!

We sell at fairs throughout Slovenia, and for many years we sold our products thru our main website. But it prooves just to time consuming for customers to pick thru the pdf files there, and for us to coordinate everything. So we decided it's time to set up a webshop where it's easy for you to place your order, and for us to prepare and send it.

We will postpone sending tender plants during winter cold-snaps. We'll contact you individually in this case.

Plants are mainly shipped bare-root, because it's far less likely for them to be damadged this way. In winter Sarracenia leaves will be cut off, at other times at least the yungest leaves will remain. Plants that need to travel potted will be packaged accordingly.

If you're buying plants for a gift, and need them to look presentable (uncut and potted), please contact us directly, if you're anywere outside Slovenia. We can weigh your order and send you a quote that you can pay directly, not via this webshop. This is a bit more easy for Slovenian customers: please  just choose the appropriate postage type. However, let me stress this again: plants travelling in pots are more likely to get damaged in transit. Especially Pinguicula and Drosera. We pack as well as possible, and will accept no liability if any plants get damaged when traveling potted.

When properly packed, plants are just fine in a box for at least 2 weeks. Orders throughout Europe arrive in around 5 working days. We do our best to ship your order within a working day, but because of possible work overload we might collect all orders of the week and post on first coming Monday. When your order is sent, we will forward you the tracking number. We send by Pošta Slovenije, the national currier. 

All our plants are propagatated either by division or seed or cuttings, whatever applicable for a specific taxon. We do not do in vitro propagation. You can watch videos how we do this on our Youtube channel Ranch of Plants. The plants are hardy and well acclimated to their environment.

Our bread-and-butter plants are carnivorous plants, but from time to time we also have some others available. And we also stock a lot of seeds, heirlooms, herbs and wildflowers, all grown and harvested by us. We are in the process of aquiring all the proper licences.

We also stock handmade gifts. I make everything personally. I love to craft and catch any spare time to make stuff between all other obligations.
